Junk Removal in Scarborough
Scarborough runs from post-war bungalows and Guildwood ravine lots to the high-rise clusters along Kingston Road and Eglinton. Big single-family basements and apartment-tower moves are the staples here, and long suburban driveways make direct truck loading easy where a downtown job never could.
A flat price from your photos, confirmed on arrival before we touch anything — never a mid-job surprise.
Bungalows, back-splits and full basements
Most Scarborough houses went up after the war, from the 1950s into the 1970s. Wexford, Dorset Park and Bendale are full of brick bungalows and back-splits. Farther east, Guildwood, West Hill and Highland Creek have bigger lots and more trees. Birch Cliff and Cliffside, near the top of the Bluffs, are older still, with many homes from before the war.
A bungalow one family has owned for decades usually comes with a full basement. Expect a rec room, a cold cellar, a workshop and a furnace room with shelves on every wall. Those jobs are mostly carrying. The stairs are short but often turn at the bottom, and a back-split adds half-flights between levels. Photograph the stairs along with the rooms and the carry is in your price from the start.
Apartment towers and townhouse complexes
Scarborough also has a lot of rental and condo towers. Many are 1960s and 70s slabs along Kingston Road, Eglinton Avenue East, Markham Road and Victoria Park Avenue. Newer condos cluster around Scarborough Town Centre. Malvern adds large townhouse complexes, where a truck can't sit in the shared lane for long.
Apartment jobs here run like condo jobs. We book the service elevator through the building office, use the loading entrance, and carry out from the unit so nothing waits in the hallway. Most towers have private garbage collection, so the City's free oversized-item pickup usually doesn't cover them.
Driveways make loading easier
Outside the towers, access is easy by Toronto standards. Most houses have a private driveway and a garage, so we back the truck up and load straight off the drive. That saves carry time compared with a downtown semi, where everything goes to the street by hand. Houses on City curbside collection can also use the free oversized-item pickup on collection day, and we'll tell you if that suits your job better.
To be clear for anyone searching: this page is Scarborough in Toronto, the M1 postal codes east of Victoria Park Avenue. It is not the towns of the same name in England or the United States. For the rest of the city, see junk removal in Toronto.
Where your Scarborough load goes
Scarborough sits in Toronto, so your load follows City of Toronto’s disposal rules. Donation and recycling come first, with receipts on the diverted share, and the rest goes to the right facility. The flat price you approve already reflects that routing.
