City of Toronto disposal: what it means for your price
The City of Toronto offers free curbside oversized-item pickup for houses — and we'll tell you when that's honestly your best option. Where we earn the fee: condos the program can't serve, same-day timing, carry-out labour, and sorted donation/recycling the curb can't do. Since 2026, city depots no longer take general commercial loads, so our disposal runs route to private GTA transfer stations — already built into every flat price.
The jobs we see most in Toronto
Downtown means service elevators, concierge rules, and corridor protection. The older wards mean 1900s semis with basement staircases built for coal deliveries, not couches. Both are priced from your photos — including the building or the staircase.
Toronto, borough by borough
The old boroughs still work differently. Junk removal in Scarborough is mostly post-war bungalows with full basements, plus 1960s and 70s apartment towers. North York junk removal splits between the Yonge Street condo towers and big post-war lots. Etobicoke runs from Kingsway basements to the Humber Bay condos. East York and the Danforth are small brick houses with steep stairs and shared drives.
The process doesn't change by borough. It is the same junk removal service everywhere: photos in, one flat price back, confirmed at your door before anyone lifts anything. - If you live in a house, can get the item to the curb, and can wait for your collection day — use the free program, genuinely. We're for condos, same-day needs, carry-out, and loads the program excludes (renovation debris, tires, large volumes).
- Do you serve condo buildings with strict move-out rules?
- Daily. We book the service elevator, bring corridor protection, and can supply an insurance certificate to your property manager before the job.
