Junk Removal in The West-End Semis
The Junction, Bloordale and Parkdale semis are narrow Victorians with front steps, coal-era basement stairs and no driveway to stage on. Everything is a careful hand-carry to a truck parked on the street, and the flat price reflects that walk — from any floor, out the front door.
A flat price from your photos, confirmed on arrival before we touch anything — never a mid-job surprise.
Narrow houses, front porches
The Junction, Bloordale, Parkdale, Roncesvalles and Little Portugal were built up between the 1880s and the 1920s. The houses are narrow semis and row houses on tight lots. Front porches sit up a flight of steps, and the basements were never meant for moving furniture. Third-floor rooms under the roof add another tight staircase at the top.
Rear laneways run behind many of these blocks, and some houses have a garage that opens onto the lane. Where the lane is wide enough we load from the back. Where it isn't, everything goes out the front door and down the porch steps to a truck on the street.
Split houses and towers in Parkdale
Parkdale also has big Victorian houses divided into apartments, and a row of apartment towers south of King along Jameson Avenue. Turnovers there often mean several small loads from different units. Photograph each unit and we price them together.
Parking is the constant in the west end. Most streets are permit parking with no driveways, and Queen, King, College and Dundas carry streetcars. We plan where the truck stops before we arrive, so the carry is as short as the street allows. These houses are on City curbside collection. The free oversized-item pickup works if you can get the item down the porch steps and wait for collection day.
Where your The West-End Semis load goes
The West-End Semis sits in Toronto, so your load follows City of Toronto’s disposal rules. Donation and recycling come first, with receipts on the diverted share, and the rest goes to the right facility. The flat price you approve already reflects that routing.
